I have a serious problem. No matter how many different lipsticks I have in this type of shade I constantly seek out more. I love me a good orangey red lippie, the brighter the better. Lady Danger is a lipstick that I thought I didn’t need because I have a few very similar shades (ok more like dupes). But no matter how much I told myself no, I still wanted it. Since I had some empties I finally snatched it up through Back to MAC. Trust me I have no regrets as I’m in love. Dangerously in love. This may be my new favorite from the brand.
Lady Danger is a vivid bright orange red with a matte texture. It tends to lean slightly more orange on me. Although it’s matte it’s not as dry as most mattes that I have in my collection. With a good lip balm underneath it glides on smooth with no pulling or tugging, and has a nice sheen. However as with all mattes it is not forgiving to dry lips so you must exfoliate and moisturize prior to application. It wears up to 5 hours without retouching but gathers in the corners of the mouth a bit.
Dupes or very, VERY similar colors that I have in my collection are Wet ‘n Wild Megalast Lipstick in Purty Persimmon and Sleek True Color Lipstick in OMG. I’ll update this post with comparison swatches later.

This product features shades with a Matte finish - High pigmentation, long-wearing, drying, low sheen. So Chaud: This is a gorgeous bright orange-red perfect for summer. Even though it’s a matte it applies surprisingly creamy and doesn’t feel dry like mattes can tend to be. You can tone the color down slightly with a darker lip pencil like MAC Chestnut or even Nightmoth. Lady Danger: Also an intense summer-perfect orange-red.

Mac Lady Danger Vs So Chaudhry
Whooooshhhhh…..it’s fire engine red! This was my first reaction when I applied lady danger on my lips. I didn’t try it store and just grabbed it and I really don’t regret buying it but I personally think Lady Danger is the just one step ahead of Chili. I mean if you could change the colour of your lipstick by a few shades then it could be changed into Chili. I know I am making no sense but blame it on the lipsticks obsession..it takes all the senses out of me! Let’s start with the review and swatches.
MAC describes lady danger as Vivid Bright Coral Red..a classic matte finish lipstick that is perfect to create a retro look.
Chili is a red lipstick with a strong hint of tangerine in it. I think it will suit girls with fair to medium skin tones as it will be too bright and neonish for dark skin. I looks more orange than red on my lips and adds a pop of colour to my face. But wearing it during the day will be a big danger for the ladies unless used as a stain. The lipstick is perfect for night outs and clubbing with golden, bronze or copper eyeshadows. The pigmentation of the lipstick is worth mentioning. One swipe and yes you are ready to go.
The lipstick is from permanent line so the packaging is also like the permanent one in black and silver case with vanilla fragrance. The over black packaging differentiates MAC lipsticks from other brands.
The texture is matte but is quite soft and glides super smoothly on lips. The lipstick never tends to bleed, after all its matte (silly me) but semi-transferable on cups and glasses. I never feel the tugging or pulling of lips while applying it. The lipstick stays on for 5-6 hours without any fading.

Good points of MAC Lady Danger Lipstick:

- Gives a pop of colour to my face

- Staying power is 5-6 hours without any fading.
- Survive heavy meals nicely.
- Semi-transferable to cups and glass for first hour.
- Vanilla scent.
The bad things of MAC Lady Danger Lipstick:
- Might suit only fair skin girls.
- Not for day wear
- Availability as it remains out of stock most of the time.

Overall thoughts: MAC Lady Danger Lipstick is an orange toned red shade and I personally love want to give it 4.5 out of 5 but as it suits only fair skin with yellow undertones so I can’t say its a universal flattering shade that will suit everyone. Nope I can’t and there lies the reason for the low rating. But if you love the shade then my recommendation is do try it in the store first before you buy it as you may not be lucky like me and may end up spending 990 bucks on a lipstick that you can’t wear.
