When I went to MAC to buy a plain pressed powder for my daily use, the SA recommended me MAC studio Fix which contains foundation also and gives a good heavy coverage. But I wanted a plain compact which is very light on my skin and gives a subtle look . She finally recommended this sheer pressed powder to me which gives a slight coverage and is very light on my skin. I am very new to MAC so it was really difficult for me to choose a right shade for my skin tone . The SA applied 2-3 shades on my skin and I choose NW 35 which looks very natural on my skin.

Comes in a classy sturdy black packaging. The sponge given along with this pressed powder is of good quality as compared to any other brands like lakme, Loreal, Maybelline etc. But still I prefer to use my powder brush and keep this sponge for emergency touch ups. Comes with an inbuilt mirror and size is pretty good to cover your face.

Texture:

The texture is very smooth & silky and glides on skin very evenly without giving patches. Gives a smooth flawless finish which looks very natural and fresh.

My Experience with MAC Select Sheer/Pressed Powder (NW35):

The shade NW35 looks very natural on m skin tone. It blends so very well into my skin that I don’t have a feel of makeup on my face. I love the subtle look it gives on my face which doesn’t look heavy is ideal for everyday casual wear. I don’t wear foundation under it, rather a tinted moisturizer. Sometimes when I use it over my foundation, my skin looks a little more bright & no other major difference visible. I don’t suffer from uneven skin tone problem and this powder makes my skin looks flawless & fresh. It doesn’t give white patches on my skin or make it look cakey. Being for sheer coverage it won’t cover blemishes or spots on your face. For heavy coverage you can go for studio fix range in MAC.

It easily stays on my skin for 4-5 hours and then slowly starts fading. So just a single touch up in entire day & you are done.

You can see there’s not much difference visible..but when you step out skin looks very fresh , flawless & natural
